Bellflower Pest Control
In the mid 1800’s the area of modern Bellflower was known as a great place to go hunting for ducks and geese and fishing for carp and perch. The early settlers of what was then called the New River Colony had to contend with the near constant floods in the rainy season of the San Gabriel River. The area was mostly a settlement until 1905 when Pacific Electric Railway built its tracks through the area and put in a railway stop here called Somerset Ranch. The first subdivision was built here near the turn of the century and was called Somerset Acres.

Pest Sources
Much of the land was used for sugar beet farming at the time as the soil was rich due to all the flooding by the river. The name of the settlement was initially Somerset but when the Post Office wouldn’t approve that name the citizens decided on Bellflower but how that happened is up to much debate. Chicken farming was an important industry in the early twentieth century alongside dairymen. Bellflower was incorporated in 1957 as it experienced some of the post-war boom the rest of the region experienced but Bellflower never really kept pace with the growth of other cities as they focused more on mom and pop stores.
Rats and Roach Control
PacWest Exterminators is committed to protecting Bellflower residents from any pest that may invade their homes. American Roaches are a known problem in Bellflower, especially due to the nearness to the San Gabriel River and can be easily controlled through our Pest Control Service Contract. Rodents are also a known problem in the city and our Rodent Control Service Contract can keep these nasty pests from entering your home uninvited.
